Assignment #3

Describe the qualities of Baroque art in an artwork of your choice?
In the Baroque period the art shows great energy, feeling, and a dramatic use of light, scale, and composition. The figure Paul that is wearing a Roman dress is pushed into the ground and we can see a close view that we are right there with him. We can see a Baroque figure far removed from Raphael’s logical, reasonable Paul who was preached at Athens.

  1. Hi Dilon,
Good- I can see that you watched the lecture and understand these styles, but what I would like you to do is find your own examples and translate these ideas to an artwork that you chose.
